It may be #Brexit for the UK, but for Larry the Cat, he votes Remain. The official feline of No 10 Downing Street will remain in his residence even after the Cameron family leaves.

Adopted in 2011, Larry is the chief mouser at No 10 Downing Street, and according to a Cabinet Office spokesperson, is a “civil servant’s cat and does not belong to the Camerons – he will be staying.”

The Cameron’s are expected to leave soon, as Theresa May officially becomes prime minister on Wednesday.

Larry was the first cat at the residence since previous mouser, Humphrey retired in 1997. According to an unofficial Twitter account setup in Larry’s name, he’s ready to make a “good impression on someone on Wednesday” and is happy about his ability to remain.
